Im so in love with NPSH, I first say them at the shoreline (bfd or download or something) and they were running around dressed all out there. I thought for sure they were in a dance band. I think it was Liam Downey Jr, and he was wearing a green furry outfit, thought it was a ninja turtles outfit, but way coooler. So I was thinking they were going to sound like Of Montreal or Klaxons, but when they hit the stage, they were all about being funny and good time, but there music is not even cheap, they sound so polished and put together, with hyper fresh synths and drum lines that go up beat and breakdown during for the singy chants like sophisticated ponytail.

Heres Is Nambavan a Russian Electro Hip Hop artist, working off of broken equipment, and still wrecking shit. I picked this up thanks to Nuevos Ricos record label, which is a spanish electro wierd group of artists. My favorite is 2 and half minutes in there in the living room banging on there keys with a hammer, wouldnt be surprised, cause that would explain the grimmy sound comming out of that casio. Tough to beat this, this is deffinately blogworthy band, concidering this songs been out for a year or so.(DONT BOTHER LOOKING THIS GUY UP, NO MYSPACE MEANS HE NO EXIST)

Moon Cadillac are a five piece band from out of Santa Cruz. Their music is a synthesis of Indie Rock and electronic music, think fast guitar strumming with a syntesizer leading your feet and hands pose wildly on the dancefloor.

Walking into Johnny V's I instantly knew there was a party going down, when I saw lead singer Rick of Moon Cadillac hanging from the fire sprinkler line, knowing that at any minute that line could break and the whole club would be showered on... what a sight that would have been.

The energy was great on stage, they performed much songs like a dj set with each song ending and seemlessly another starting right back up. I especially enjoyed the melodic experimental instramentals that were played between the more beat driven dancefloor songs, it really kept the audiance in the moment.

This past Saturday I Djed at a friends Underground in Fresno (Dance's 1 year Anniversary) in a old pet store turned homeless shelter. We arrived at the location with 1 hour to set up sound, the main problems was that the squatters didn't know about any party and had no intentions in leaving. The place was a cesspool, smelled like cat piss, dingy mattresses laying around piles of garbage stacked everywhere. The squatters were kicked out with all there baskets full of crap and we flipped the place in the hour. The 1st track was dropped as scheduled.
After 8 hours of exposure to ammonia the party ended on a bad note. The bouncers short changed the door money, bar did share any percentage of the profits, and Djs are stiffed... wow is me :(

I DREAM OF SPEED is not a drug related site, although I do plan on having all types of experiences posted. I think that it's going to be a music, arts, and fashion site. Music being the main emphasis of this project, because music is my passion. Like most other web blogs each musical posting will be accompanied with a piece art from my friends and family and people who's art that I admire.

As far as trying to describe what music sounds like, I think that I'll mostly be describing the artist; what they look like, where there from and what there scene is. The music is there art so I wont be trying label there art or anything, because i feel that it worthless reading. I know this because I've read so many reviews that don't mean shit and that have totally made me a biased listener... there indie electro pop dark neu wtf ever type of talk doesn't mean much in describing music IMO.
